In an effort to determine how our AO1 Process affects different instrument types, we’ve sought out many fine guitars, violins etc. that all feature different structural qualities to analyze.   This process creates an inventory of  fabulous processed,  slightly pre-owned, ready to purchase instruments that we are proud to offer for purchase here periodically.  This is the perfect opportunity for someone who doesn’t want to wait 2 weeks, or wants to experience the process firsthand before having it done to their own instrument.

All instruments here have had the AO1 process and sound absolutely stunning. Please feel free to ask any questions about any instrument featured here.

Indian Rosewood back & sides |Adirondak Spruce top | Dreadnought

Crafted to evoke the same tone and projection as a pre-war D-28, the Marquis D-28 delivers powerful sounds with scalloped braces and forward-shifted X-bracing. The list of historically accurate details captures the authentic spirit of the Martin D-28: mahogany blocks/dovetail neck joint construction, slot-through saddle, herringbone binding, neck dart, zipper back marquetry, ivoroid binding, herringbone top trim,Waverly butterbean tuners, old-style wood fiber rosette, beveled and polished tortoise pickguard; ebony bridge with long saddle; modified V-shaped neck; ebony fretboard with diamond and square inlays; and fossil ivory nut, saddle, and bridgepins.

Frank’s Notes: “Before: Dynamic range and volume were very low. Not expressive and lacking the big ‘Martin’ sound. After: Plenty of big Martin sound and full dynamic range. Very complex and great for finger style, flat-picking, or strumming.”
